Wagmatcook Cultural Centre

Commissioned by Vibe Marketing and Communications, 2001

On this commission, I completed a total of four large pieces ranging from 10'x 10' to 70' x 100' in size. In the dining room of the Cultural Centre is “Our History Makers”, a visual interpretation of our Aboriginal history. Located in the main lobby is “Our community”, a specific request of the Chief.  Two other pieces can be found in the building; in the Boardroom is “Respect” and in the Auditorium “Tree of Knowledge & Wisdom”.

These murals were created in latex using various sizes of airbrushes and spray guns and took six weeks to complete with one assistant.
